Soy Free Hoisin Dipping Sauce

Soy Free Hoisin Dipping Sauce

Recipe by Monica @MonicaMayDesign - combines our new Hoisin and Gochujang sauces with a touch of Coconut Aminos, topped with crunchy cashews or peanuts. Sooo yummy!

Hoisin sauce is a fragrant, pungent sauce frequently used in Asian cuisine in stir-fry, as a marinade or Chinese barbecue sauce, and most well known as the classic seasoning on Peking Duck.

Coconut Secret Hoisin is soy free, vegan, cane sugar-free and organic. Just like the traditional recipe, our Hoisin is dark in color and thick in consistency with a slightly sweet and salty flavor. It also can be made into a delicious dip for veggies and meat.

Here is our special creation that combines our new Hoisin and Gochujang sauces with a touch of Coconut Aminos, topped with crunchy cashews or peanuts. Sooo yummy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 Tbsp organic olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp ginger (chopped)
  • 6 Tbsp Coconut Secret Hoisin Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Coconut Aminos
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • 1/4 tsp Himalayan pink salt
  • 4 drops sesame oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp Coconut Secret Gochujang Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp organic peanuts or cashews (chopped)

Directions:

Heat the oil in a wok over medium-high to high heat.

Add the garlic and ginger to the wok.

Stir briefly until aromatic.

Turn the heat down to medium and stir in the other ingredients.

Heat for approximately 3-5 minutes, remove from the stove and cool. May be served right away or stored in a sealed container in the fridge.

Best when flavors are allowed to settle for 1 hour or more before serving.
